So last weekend my Hubs and I took a kitchen Knife 101 class. It was super fun and I liked what we learned. I didn’t realize I had been holding my knife wrong this entire time! We learned how to chop (3 sizes), mince garlic, onions, and make French fry cuts!
I came out of it wanting to buy every kitchen item a real “chef” would need! As if 2 hours in a class made me a chef but seriously! I really felt like cooking.
Needless to say that didn’t happen. I just used the knowledge I’d gained from class and cooked with all of the stuff I already have. But that’s not the sad part 🙂
The sad part is that tonight when I tried to put my new cooking “skills” into action I actually cut myself!!
I haven’t cut myself with a kitchen knife in 15 years!! I wasn’t expecting to have to LEARN the skill.
